Father’s Day Book Signing at the Ali Center
FREE Admission for Dad – June 20th
Meet and greet with Felix Manuel Rodriguez author of the award-winning book: “Dad, Me, and Muhammad Ali: A Father and Son Story.” The book is based on a true story about himself and his son, Jo-Jo, meeting the Greatest Of All Time in Harlem, NY.
Come meet and greet the author and the main character of this wonderful father and son story. The first 50 families that bring thier Dad’s to visit on Father’s Day will receive a FREE signed copy of this award winning book. Ali Scholars from University of Louisville and Ali Center Staff
Return from Studying Social Justice in Ghana and London Brodrick Clarke, Deputy Director of Education for the Muhammad Ali Center and eight University of Louisville students have been taking part in a three-week journey to England and Ghana on a quest to learn more about social justice and peacemaking around the globe. The trip first took them to England for a youth conference of students from across the United Kingdom and then to Ghana to work on research projects.
Participants spent most of the 22-day trip in Ghana. Upon its arrival, the UofL group partnered with students from the University for Development Studies to do field work related to their studies. In the past, the Ali Scholars have traveled to Senegal, also in West Africa.

Ali Center participating in Blue Star Museum Program
Offering Free Admission to Military now thru Memorial Day
Blue Star Museums is a partnership among Blue Star Families, the National Endowment for the Arts, and more than 750 museums in all 50 states to offer free admission to military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 31, 2010, through Labor Day, September 6, 2010.
The free admission program is available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID card, or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card, which includes active duty military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard), National Guard and Reserve members and up to five immediate family members.
