UNDEFEATED GABOR VETO SCORES 1ST ROUND TKO

Undefeated lightweight Gabor Veto (7-0, 6 KOs) scored a brilliant first round TKO over hometown journeyman Anton Glofak who had a pathetic record of 2 wins as against 79 defeats and 8 draws at the City Hall in Komarno, Slovakia.

Optimum Sports Agency which handles Veto reported that the  20-year-old who is a former member of the Hungarian amateur national team, had to show his excellent skills against the experienced journeyman Anton Glofak.

The 38-year-old Slovakian has had 90 fights and Optimum Sports Agency claimed ”he’s fought world class fighters such as the former IBF-World Title Challenger Cyrill Thomas who he went the distance against and WBO-World Title Challenger Zoltan Kalocsai.”

Veto of Varpalota, showed his superiority and potential over an outclassed Glofak dropping him with a left hook to the head at the beginning of round one. Glofak stood up on shaky legs and the Optimum Sports Agency’s Hungarian prospect immediately went on the attack, flooring Glofak again and the bout was stopped by referee Jan Sedlak at 1:23. of the opening round.

In an apparent defense of his opponent whose miserable record raised questions about the quality of fighters being fed Veto, the young Hungarian said “I think tune-up fights against such an experienced journeymen as Anton Glofak are important to build up a career and to gain more ring-experience.“

With the victory Veto now looks towards a match with Mohesen Moradian (2-1) for the WBC Youth Lightweight Title Eliminator at the Castle of Varpalota in Hungary on July 25th, 2009
